🥟 Chao-Down #85 Google's open-source tool lets you control games with your face, Hollywood battles AI "plagiarism machines", Pharma giants bet big on AI for drug discovery

Gaming just became a lot more accessible thanks to AI.

One under-the-radar announcement from Google IO’s Developer keynote was the release of Gamescape, an open-source project allowing players like Lance Carr, who has a rare form of muscular dystrophy, to be able to enjoy playing games with just face and eye movements.

Before, buying headtracking gear would cost upwards of hundreds of dollars, but now with software, anyone with a webcam can control their computer with head movement and gestures.

Not only does this make games more accessible, but the same technology can also make technology more immersive as well. Definitely one to keep watching.
