🥟 Chao-Down #73 Apple's planning AI Health apps, Amazon reviews flooded with AI chatbots, OpenAI improves ChatGPT privacy with data controls

While Amazon is getting out of health devices with its shutting down of its Halo line of wearables, Apple is leaning in.

Apple is launching a new health coaching service, codenamed Quartz, that is made to motivate users to exercise and improve their sleep and eating habits. It uses AI and data from an Apple Watch to make suggestions and create coaching programs specifically for users.

What’s interesting to me is the fact that Amazon is pulling out of this what seems to be a potentially lucrative space. But since Apple’s main advantage is in their hardware, it makes sense that they will continue to invest in this area.
