🥟 Chao-Down #64 Amazon dives into generative AI with Bedrock, Reddit braces for ChatGPT spam apocalypse, GPT4 outperforms elite crowdworkers

It was just a few days ago that employees at Amazon were wondering whether the ecommerce giant had a response to the frenzy that is generative AI. Well now we have that with Amazon’s release of Bedrock, which will allow customers to access and customize pre-trained foundational models for text and images via an API.

Interestingly enough, Amazon is taking a more Switzerland-style approach to participating in GenAI by promoting a more neutral platform that features models from startups like Antrhopic, Stability AI, and AI21 as well as their in-house models called Titan.
