🥟 Chao-Down #62 Amazon tells employees it's not falling behind in AI, Elon buys thousands of GPUs for generative AI push at Twitter
Plus, China wants security assessments before launching AI to public
It looks like more tech giants are stepping up their generative AI game.
Amazon, in an all-hands meeting, assured employees that they would release their answer to ChatGPT in the near future. Elon Musk, also feeling the urgency to take part in the competition, recently hired two ex-Deepmind engineers and purchased 10,000 GPUs to build out Twitter’s own version of generative large language models.
Each of these companies uniquely has proprietary datasets that could in theory be unique differentiators in an already crowded space.
Will they succeed? We’ll have to see to find out.
