Reorgs are commonplace in industry, especially in tech.

Google, facing tremendous disruption from OpenAI, Microsoft, and others, is now reorganizing its Google Assistant teams to focus completely on Bard, its new large language model chatbot.

It’s likely to cause a lot of internal friction and we’ll have to see what becomes of the home speaker product. Such is the chaotic world of AI.
