Plus, Instagram founders are back with an AI-powered newsfeed app.
People always like a comeback story right? Although in this case, the characters are the ex-founders of Instagram, a modestly decent success. Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, the duo that made the iconic photo editing and sharing app, are looking to recapture their startup magic with the launch of Artifact, an AI-powered news app. With an emphasis on text-based recommendation, Artifact is a welcome contrast to the TikTok/Reels/YouTube Shorts of the world where video is the primary format.
We’ll have to see if it catches on. The app is currently available for beta sign up.
