🥟 Chao-Down #126 FTC launches investigation into OpenAI over consumer harm, Elon Musk launches xAI to compete with AI giants, NVIDIA bets big on AI drug discovery

Elon Musk wants "to understand the true nature of the universe." 

xAI, led by Musk, seeks to explore deep learning mathematics and develop the "theory of everything" for large neural networks.

Most notably the company will collaborate with Musk's X Corp., which includes Twitter and Tesla but will act independently from them. The primary focus would be getting access to those companies’ proprietary datasets to train their AI models.
