🥟 Chao-Down #311 Adobe's Firefly found to use rival image generators for training their AI, OpenAI pitches enterprises including Microsoft customers on ChatGPT, Meta tests AI search for Instagram

In the strange world of AI, we see how friends can become rivals in a blink of an eye.

OpenAI is reportedly pitching its ChatGPT for Enterprise product to large firms, often including some who are existing Microsoft customers. While the two firms have been largely joined at the hip since 2019 where Microsoft has exclusive license to commercialize OpenAI’s tech, each company still employs their own sales teams to compete after customers.

Granted, Microsoft has also been diversifying its model base by onboarding such companies as Mistral, Cohere, and other providers onto their platform in a bid to maintain some independence from solely relying on OpenAI.

It’s a fascinating development as tech companies both young and old are looking to establish dominance in the growing field of AI.
