🥟 Chao-Down #293 NVIDIA announces Blackwell AI chip at GTC, Google researchers unveil "VLOGGER" AI that brings still photos to life, AI startup Suno looks to be the ChatGPT of music
Plus, YouTube now requires creators to disclose when realistic content was made with AI.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang gave an impressive 2 hour long(!) keynote yesterday at NVIDIA’s GTC conference for developers. It was a packed house, reaching what some have dubbed the company’s “Taylor-Swift moment”. Funny enough, Jensen “shook off “the comment, saying he hadn’t trained for the presentation by rehearsing it on a treadmill like Taylor did for her Eras tour.
For me, I was particularly intrigued by NVIDIA’s new product they are calling NIMs which are containerized microservices designed to bring a full-stack solution to enterprises building AI applications. As someone building AI apps, stitching together the different models and managing the endpoints can be a pain, so NIMs seem like a decent take from NVIDIA to solve these problems.
So many more announcements were made, especially what many are paying attention to: the latest chips to power the next generation of AI.
