Plus, China makes the first ruling of its kind in saying that an AI bot infringed on copyright material.

Microsoft’s just released its latest AI Copilot, and this time it’s for an industry vertical.

The company just announced a new AI assistant for finance professionals, called Copilot for Finance, that can automate data tasks and provide suggestions in Excel and Outlook. The assistant is built on top of Microsoft’s existing Copilot tech and focuses on three main finance scenarios: audits, collections, and variance analysis.

Microsoft claims that Copilot for Finance can help finance teams be more efficient and access their business data in the apps they use every day. The assistant is currently in public preview and expected to be generally available later this year.

For people working in finance, what do you think of this latest Copilot?
