Adobe is getting into music creation!

At the Hot Pod Summit in Brooklyn, the tech giant for creatives announced a new GenAI tool for music creation and editing, called Project Music GenAI Control.

The tool can generate music from text descriptions or melodies and allow users to tweak various aspects of the music, such as tempo, intensity and structure. While it’s still in the research stage and doesn’t even have a user interface yet, Adobe says it is developing the tool with ethical and legal considerations in mind, such as watermarking and licensing.

Project Music GenAI Control is part of Adobe’s larger efforts to leverage GenAI for media and entertainment applications.

Let’s hope by the time they release it, they come up with a better name for the product.
