Plus, filmmaker and studio owner Tyler Perry raises the alarm on AI and puts his studio expansion on hold.

Tyler Perry, the actor, filmmaker and studio owner, recently expressed concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence on the entertainment industry, especially after seeing the capabilities of OpenAI’s text-to-video model Sora.

OpenAI’s Insanely Powerful Text-to-Video Model ‘Sora’ is Here

Perry said he has put his $800 million expansion of his studio on hold, and he urged the industry to come together to protect the jobs and livelihoods of the people who work in it. He also revealed that he has used AI in two of his upcoming films, but he is worried about the future of his employees and colleagues.

Tyler Perry is calling for a whole industry and government approach to regulate and manage the rapid developments of AI technology. How will the entertainment industry respond?
