Are we experiencing a new way to do search? We’ve already seen some startups like Perplexity AI, You.com, and even Microsoft Copilot show us versions of the future. But one company is taking a fresh take on the space.

Over the weekend, the internet browser company Arc released their latest product Arc Search for the iPhone that “browses for you.”

The previous search experience involved going to Google, typing a query, and clicking on one of 10 blue links to find your info.

This time Arc Search provides a “Browse for me” button which will do a web search on your behalf of 6 relevant webpages and construct a brand-new website that contains the answer to your query. The experience still has some kinks to work out like how it selects the 6 webpages it sources from and how it will handle citation and copyright, but it’s a refreshing take on how we will search information in the future.

Check out CEO Josh Miller’s original Tweet storm to see the full details and play with the app yourself!
