Plus, camera makers like Sony, Nikon, and Canon create new tech to fight against fake AI images.

Would you trust your health to an AI? Apparently, more Americans are starting to do so.

According to a new study of 2,000 American adults, over half (52%) of people surveyed have entered their health symptoms to ChatGPT. Of these people, 81% received a diagnosis from the large language model and after consulting a doctor, 84% said the diagnosis was right.

In the face of rising costs for everything especially healthcare, it makes sense that people would look for alternatives to their current medical provider. And if ChatGPT is already producing output that is consistent with a person’s primary doctor, why not just go straight to the AI if you have common symptoms?

What’s more interesting here to me is the willingness people show to entrust the most private details of their lives to AI. Is this the future we’re heading towards?
