Plus, Meta begins requiring political advertisers about the use of AI in campaign ads.

Amazon is looking to get in the LLM game with their own, fully-trained foundation model.

The ecommerce giant is working on a new large language model, codenamed Olympus, in a bid to compete with OpenAI and Microsoft in the corporate software market. Olympus is expected to offer improved performance compared to their existing Titan model and is rumored to be made up of 2 trillion parameters.

Amazon may announce Olympus via AWS in December, but the exact timeline for its development and launch remains unclear. Olympus may play a role in enhancing Amazon's online retail store, Alexa voice assistant, and Amazon Web Services. AWS had previously delayed the launch of Titan as it couldn't match the technology behind OpenAI's ChatGPT.

AWS currently offers limited Titan models, while two additional models are designed to provide ChatGPT-like text answers and text summarization capabilities.

How will Olympus ultimately perform? We’ll have to wait and see to find out.
