In the ongoing Google Antitrust trial, we learned a bit more about how Microsoft sees its longtime rival Google.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella testified that Google could dominate the future AI-powered search market and shut out competitors because of its vast amount of search data and by flexing its financial capacity through exclusive content rights from publishers.
Liking it to the early days of distribution deals, big tech companies are in a race to strengthen their content libraries for training large language models.
Will this cause the government to step in and even the playing field? We’ll have to see to find out.
